Jamie Reeves

Jamie Reeves
Before becoming a well rounded individual, Jamie was and still is a graphic designer. He enjoys the play between design, photography, shape, color, and words. He'll even let a deadline creep in to the mix as well.

After fulfilling his degree requirements at Appalachian State University (nearly best place on earth), Jamie headed to the top. In 1992, he found himself living in Queens, NY (the top)...commuting to Manhattan to learn and work with the likes of Alex Isley, Adriane Stark, David Albertson, Melinda Beck, Phil Bratter, Lynette Cortez, and Alex Knowlton.

Jamie eventually moved back to his hometown, Asheville, NC and worked at The Mountain Xpress directing the design of the news and entertainment weekly. Circulation oddly improved during his tenure at the Xpress.

In 1995, WNCN/NBC-17 was growing roots in the market, and Jamie moved to help solidify the NBC startup's place in the Triangle. Here, he covered all graphic design needs (print, broadcast, web), by managing a team of designers and continuing to learn and create new designs for the station.

After his stint in the news & television biz, and a sucessful run as a freelancer, and part-time pet care provider, Jamie began working with Don Freeman and Brady Williams, and Uncle Jake Media was born.

Enough about that. Jamie likes long walks on the beach, landscaping, and spending time with his wife, pets, and family.

Uncle Jake Media's efforts have added a whole new dimension to the life of our Club.   The new site is very easy for our members to navigate.  It is wonderful to be able to locate the schedule of social and tennis activities so easily and to read about the activities of our members.

The site will also be a boon to our marketing efforts.  Newcomers to the area are some of our best prospects.  The site designed and prepared by you gives them a wonderful introduction to our Club.

On behalf of the Board of Directors, I just wanted you to know how much we appreciate what you have done for our Club.
